East Africa is positioning to host a proposed mega refinery targeting capacity of 2.1 million b/d by 2030.
Competition among East African nations, including Kenya and Tanzania, continues as countries position themselves to host a proposed mega refinery with a projected capacity of 2.1 million b/d by 2030. If implemented, the project could significantly reduce the region’s dependence on imported refined petroleum products.
