Pakistan plans to expand crude oil storage capacity via partnerships, including priority access to strategic reserves during emergencies.
The recent US–Iran conflict exposed vulnerabilities in fuel security across several countries. Pakistan has announced plans to expand its crude oil storage capacity through partnerships with Saudi Aramco, ADNOC, QatarEnergy and PetroChina. Under the arrangement, Pakistan would have priority access to strategic reserves during emergencies such as wars or natural disasters.
